As usual,
after deducting our winner’s contribution to NRA, he was left with (Le126, 662,
000) one hundred and twenty six million six hundred and sixty two thousand
Leones.
The
presentation was done in our regional head office of Bo City on the 8th
February, 2018 by our branch manager. The presentation attracted huge observers
ranging from the media, the police and members of the public.
Presenting
the whopping amount, Bo Branch manager Mahmoud Steven, stated by welcoming all
present and dilated a bit on the misconceptions about whether indeed Mercury
pays it valued winning customers. He
said this is a clear manifestation that Mercury has the capacity to pay every
winner and that Mercury has always paid it winners.
“Mercury has
not only shown commitment in paying it customers but has been a 100% tax
compliance Company in Sierra Leone, we deduct 20% on winnings above Le10
million and 10% on winnings below Le10 million and pay on behalf of our revered
customers to the National Revenue Authority”. He explained.
“Let me use
this platform to assure the public that as a Company we shall always continue
to provide unrivaled and unwavering services to our valued customers. For us in
Mercury, our customers are always assured of better, quality and efficient
service from us”. He Concluded.
Receiving
the amount, the 26 years old man, who decides not to reveal his identity,
exhibited an uncontrolled emotion citing that winning such a life changing
amount is unimaginable of. He said he was among those who had held a belief
that winning such an amount is not real with Mercury International.
“I was one person
who before now had a perception that all the winnings aired on radio and TV
stations were not genuine. Today that has changed permanently, I will serve as an
ambassador for Mercury, and I will help in propagating Mercury from within my
locality. I am extremely excited that God has destined me to win this money,
I’m not better off than others, it is my turn today and could be your turn tomorrow”.
He said.
When asked
what he will do with the money, he replied that as a School going man, he
intends continuing his education and exploring business opportunities.
