TERROR DEE WINNER’S SONG IS A PLUS IN THE MUSIC SCENE

Popular SLE- Australia base rapper, Daniel Kamara otherwise known as Terror Dee has recently released another song titled, “WINNER” so as to start the 2018 with a great difference in the music landscape. WINNER lyrics have left many of his music fans, pundits and music lovers with astonishment. The song WINNER is produced by PBANKS and now making rounds on all major radio stations and entertainment spots across the world as a breaking hit. 

According to the singer, Winner is an inspiration that will uplift the Sierra Leonean music to another level in the international music market, adding that more bangers are in store of this year’s compilation. He revealed also that he will be featuring another Nigerian hot singer, Ice Prince in his upcoming song which is due to come out soonest.

Terror Dee has been one of the hottest SLE musicians in 2017 and to date defending that position. He is one of those record breaking artists who have been spotted graciously in the international music scene. He is known remarkably not only in Sierra Leone but the world at large. He has released several music audios and videos with high quality HD format for years now and has won several awards in the music arena for his continuous eminent work both locally and internationally. He was recently awarded Best Music Video of 2017 in the SLeDU-NMA held December 2017 in Bo, Southern Sierra Leone.

Moonwalk Management: A Move in Right Direction in The Music Industry

It has been the dream of lots of music pundits and lovers as to finding more strategic plans in developing the entire music landscape. Their dreams have become true as a newly established management system enterprise has now emerged in order to salvage elusive elements and unjust problems which have been contributing to the downfall of musicians themselves and the Sierra Leonean musical culture.

Moonwalk Management was an amazing idea initiated and developed by one Sierra Leonean who goes by his name, Ebrima Bakarr currently base in America. Moonwalk Bakarr as fondly called, is the Chief Founder and one who has been so good to the music industry from time in memorial but never boasting of that his help towards the music sector. He added that his business will be in a partnership form, disclosing Deej Real as his official partner here in Sierra Leone.

Speaking to him from USA, Moonwalk Bakarr said his vision was to ensure persistent aiding of new tap talented musicians to be able to progress their future career, adding that his new management system will be unveiling its two prominent music stars which are going to take the music game to another level.

Smile Again Salone Set to Organize a Live Band Show

Smile Again Salone is a charitable organization that has been in existence in Sierra Leone for the past five years. The organization was formed in order to assist vulnerable people especially the children having gone through some tribulations. According to the Secretary General, Ansumana Kallon the setting up of the organization was initiated and facilitated by one UK born Mark Spratley and a Sierra Leonean who goes by the name Idrissa Mansaray, adding that they had thought it prudent to address the emerging needs of deprived Sierra Leoneans and to restore smile on their faces. He said it aim is to compliment government efforts in bringing livelihood to less privilege Sierra Leoneans.

One of the founders of Smile Again Salone, Mark Spratley said that Idrisa Mansaray and he came up with the plan to produce an unprecedented musical concept for an annual charity concert named Smile Again Salone. “It will be held at the Siaka Stevens Stadium in Freetown on December 16^th this year. We wish this event to get an A Grade international format which will be broadcast able internationally in visual form”, Mark asserted.

Mark furthered that ideas will be features of Sierra Leone’s art and culture which includes interludes of singing, artists (All Stars and KME), comedians and more, adding that multimedia projections on various screens on the stage would be great. According to Mark, it is their greatest honor to say that a percentage of the outcome will be donated to the local communities and charity organizations and that whatever income raised from the concert will be invested back in Sierra Leone in a form of building a music studio and a theme park, which will benefit the people of Sierra Leone.  

While responding to questions posed at him in an interview with Radio Mercury’s Deej Real on the nation’s widely tuned-in program, Ansumana maintained Smile Again Salone has caught up in several projects since its formation, such projects he pointed out were the Ebola scourge and that of the mudslide incident which occurred in August this year at the Motormen Community in Regent.  

Ansumana further revealed his organization is yet to have sponsors as at now and that they are solely responsible to fund their operations whilst looking forward for any individual or parastatals to come on board and support them.

He disclosed his organization is about to undertake its first big project on December 16^th 2017 at the Siaka Stevens Stadium. 

He continued that the aim of staging the show is to use entertainment as a means of creating livelihood and to bringing smiles on the faces of people in order of them to forget about the past and hope for a better future. He maintained the musical festival and a live band show will be the first that would cater for everybody.

He affirmed that security will be tight and that there is going to be eminent sound system come that day at the Siaka Stevens Stadium thus encouraged all patriotic Sierra Leoneans to come out in huge numbers in order to support this crucial show on December 16^th, he added cost of ticket is affordable, open stand 10,000, covered stand 20,000 and presidential stand is 100,000. 

He assured Sierra Leoneans that proceeds made from the show will go back to those who are less fortunate and the vulnerable children in the country and also it will be use to erect an amusement park for children in Sierra Leone.

Empress Pee Drops EP Album

Philka Tenneh Kamara fondly called by his stage name, Empress Pee from the Reems Entertainment Company has finally released her first EP album since after her previous “Green light” album in 2016. She has spent five years in the music and expressed profoundly that she has made eminent progress. According to her, the EP has only 4 songs featuring top hip hop stars like King Boss LAJ and YungSix. YungSix is one of Nigerian new breeds in the music game and has been Empress Pee’s admirer since that time she went to Nigeria.

Empress Pee disclosed further that her decision to collaborate with YungSix was as a result of him being the apt person who will create an additional flavor on the song, she added that YungSix was in Freetown for a radio and media tour and to also join her in premiering their collabo song titled, "Can't Get Over You" and the two other songs titled, "Pop bottles" and "Shout out".

She mentioned that one of the EP album songs, Shout Out, has a concept of relationship while transmitting dedications to those whom she deemed appropriate of playing a very pivotal role in the Hip Hop game in Sierra Leone, adding that her shout out to everyone in the industry was to motivate them to do more. 

Empress Pee has worked so hard in ensuring to expect greatness from her latest EP album, revealing that all the songs in the album are bangers and that her management, Reems Entertainment is working tremendously towards shooting visuals of the EP album. She however maintained that the videos of songs in the album will be out soonest. She however promised to start organizing free community shows owing to the high demands of her in communities across the country. 

As 2018 draws near...Itz Deej Real Set To Resign From Mainstream DJing

After serving diligently and playing his own significant part towards promoting and protecting the image of DJs and the entertainment industry in general, Sierra Leone's most reliable, cool and calculated heavy weight DJ's champion, Deej Real will finally resign from mainstream DJing in the country in January 2018.

He revealed this news last week at his office on Bathurst Street in Freetown. He maintained that throughout his career as a professional DJ and one who has been rooted from the bottom to the top of the Sierra Leone's DJs chart has so far satisfied and that his key reason to arrived at such decision was to take up another venture and a new career in his life, adding that there is time for every purpose. He added to also allow the young breed DJs in the field to develop.

He explained that though he is resigning from mainstream DJing, he would still maintain the title as Deej Real and would respect the image and dignity of all DJs at all times, adding he will continue to render whatever assistance the DJs and specifically the DJs Union might need from his professional experience gained over the years.

Deej Real started his DJ career in 2000 and has worked for various radio stations, recording studios and sound systems across the country, and has served the DJs’ fraternity for over 15years now, adding that he has won several accolades and awards for his relentless effort, commitment and devotion towards national development in both the entertainment industry and the country at large.

Because of his proven competence and professional work while in the field of mainstream DJing, Deej Real had attained several managerial positions and he is now the current Deputy Station Manager of Mercury International radio station and publisher of the Real News Newspaper.

As DJs meet... Prezo CPO affirms committment ahead of SLEDU National Music Awards

President of the Sierra Leone DJs Union, Abdul Karim Koroma aka Pilot CPO has on Tuesday 21st November 2017 affirmed to his members that his executives are in stable and firm position to ensuring the SLEDU National Music Awards 2017 go on as planned.

He made this valuable statement at their usual general meeting held on Tuesday 21st November 2017 in Freetown, so as to update members about steps taken so far by the awards committee that was charged with responsibilty of planning the event which is shceduled to take place at the Bo Stadium, South of Sierra Leone on Friday 29th December 2017.

According to him, everything is going on fine and that sponsors have fully committed themselves of supporting the event that has being tagged by entertainment pundits as a history in the making since inception of the SLeDU-NMA in 2013.

He further disclosed to his membership that this year's awards' show trophies will be unique as already someone has taken that bold move of shipping them into the country all the way from the US. He added that as president he will endeavour to leave a legacy behind while assuring members that before he leaves office he would at least leave 20m in the account of the union.

He revealed also that the Sierra Leone Road Transport Cooperation has committed to providing buses which will transport people to the event in Bo. He continued also that it is now time for all DJs to be recognize under his leadership whilst emphatically stated that all DJs should play pivotal role ahead of the event if not they will face stringent disciplinary actions.

He explained that Nomination forms will be out by the 1st December 2017 as the awards committee is now preparing the various categories professionally without any sentiment, he added also that soon nomination forms are out the short code to be used for voting will be published in due course.

He mentioned that few parastatals have promised to graciuously support this year's event and that no member should be worrying about finances to stage the show as his executive is hardworking towards a successful show in Bo.

Climaxing the meeting, members were astouned  by the statement made from their president and have promised to give their all and all ahead of December 29 2017.
